Casey Receives Distinguished Paper Award from NCARE
Dr. Lee Casey Received the 2019 Distinguished Paper Award from the North Carolina Association for Research in Education
Congratulations to Dr. Lee Casey! His paper titled, “Academic Resiliency among African-American Males in Secondary Schools” has received the 2019 Distinguished Paper Award from the North Carolina Association for Research in Education (NCARE). His paper will be included in the 2020 American Educational Research Association program as a representative of the NCARE for the State and Regional Educational Research Association session. Dr. Casey will present his paper at the conference in San Francisco. This award recognition comes with a monetary award and additional recognition at the 2020 NCARE conference to be held in Greensboro, NC.
Dr. Casey is a 2018 alumnus of the Ed.D. program in the Superintendency concentration. His dissertation was “An Investigation of Academic Resiliency Among African-American Males in Secondary Schools.” His study was chaired by Dr. Rebecca Shore and included committee members, Dr. Tracey Benson, Dr. Chuang Wang, and Dr. Greg Wiggan.
